This is an invitation suite that I customized for a wedding.

The bride and her mother picked up this kit at a store.

I then took the kit and created a custom invitation rather than just following the directions of the kit. The invitation was printed on a vellum sheet which was layered over the kit's invitation, part of the belly band was cut and used to attach the vellum sheet to the card-stock invitation.

The ribbon that was included with the kit was then wrapped around on top and tied into a knot as a symbol of the bride and groom 'tying the knot' on their wedding day.

The rest of the band was then custom cut and designed to facilitate the opening of the band which holds together the invitation and reception card together to enclose in the envelope.

The band was furthered customized with a double layered square which displays the couple's first names on top of their initial.

The square also includes the couple's wedding date '10.10.10' with the dots being dotted with a glitter pen to add a little sparkle to the date.

This is a sample of invitations to actual weddings I have made in the past.

A custom piece that matched the round motif of the pocket was created to include a sponsor list per the bride's request.

Favor Tags

What is a favor tag?

Well it is a small tag with your event's name & date plus the word "Thank You" that you could attach to your favors to give them that special personal touch.

Wedding Favor Tag

Simple and elegant Favor Tag for your wedding favors.

This is a great idea to share your registry information from the Paper Source:

Originally the baby envelope was only to add visual interest, but in the end guests loved it because inside the envelope we included a small card with the bride and groom’s registry information. Instead of carrying around the whole invitation, guests could slip the small registry card into their wallet – so handy for when they’re out shopping.

Wedding Invitations: At-Home Cards

TREND UPDATE "At-Home Cards" So you are counting the days to the big day and you are starting to order your Thank You stationary, have you thought of including an "At-home Card"? You could find out more about these cards at the attached link.

Wedding Invitations: At-Home Cards

Cost Saver Tip: If you can't splurge on having at-home cards printed, con...sider the more
modern approach: I could design your personalized stationery to reflect your
newly married status and use it for your thank-you notes. They can
function in lieu of formal at-home cards, since the letterhead or cards
can bear both your and your sweetie's names and new or current address.

Baptism Invitation

This is an invitation I designed for my goddaughter's baptism. I purchased the envelopes at the Paper Source and the rest of the paper I used was ordinary cardstock. The size is of the invitation is 5x5 it sits inside a paper punched pocket wrapped by a white satin bow.

The second picture (to the left) displays the map I created to guide our guests from the church to the reception site.

The pocket of the invitation is paper-punched with a Martha Stewart Paper-puncher and the satin ribbon around the pocket I was able to find at a dollar store.

The cross is custom designed to match the color tone of the envelope.

The Begining- 'My Wedding Invitations'

A few years ago I was confronted with a dilemma that a lot of brides go through, I had a good idea of what I wanted my wedding invitation to look like but was not able to find a source or company that could create it within a reasonable budget.
Another challenge I faced was that I need a number of my wedding’s stationery to be in Spanish and the rest in English, and most places did not offer the flexibility or option to supply my need.
So I ventured out to making my own invitations. Back then I did not count with all of the choices that brides have now and with all of the material one could purchase. So I tried my best with what was available.
Well this is how I got started with this idea of creating stationery for people’s events.

Wedding Stationery

So you are going to start to plan your wedding or in the middle of your planning and you are trying to thing of what else you may not have thought about that you should think about your stationery needs.

Well, save-the-dates and invitations are the two obvious ones but there are many other items that you could include into your wedding that will really make it a very well thought out event. Have you thought about escort cards, how about programs for your wedding ceremony? Well the list does not end there. You could also include favor tags that could be attached to your favors that could include your monogram, the date of your wedding and a “thank you”.
These are some of the items that I could coordinate and create to make your wedding a very special event that will have people marbled about the small touches that were thought out. Email me with your stationery needs and I will gladly will like to help you by creating them for you. -Alicia
