Although we are still in October, it is not too early to start brainstorming ideas for DIY Christmas Cards and ornaments. With a plan DIYers could still finish making their Christmas cards in time for this 2010 season. Above is a great design I found in Scrapbooks etc. a Better Homes & Gardens Network Site. What do you think.

Wedding Announcements versus Wedding Invitations
One use for Announcements is for couples that will have a small, intimate ceremony which can't accommodate large guest lists, but the bride and groom will still want to announce their marriage to their loved ones.
Another great use for announcements is when you want to make professional colleagues, casual acquaintances, or extended family members who were not invited to the wedding aware that your name has changed.
P.S. Don't worry about people mistaking your wedding announcement for an invitation to your wedding. You will wait to send the announcements until the day of the actual wedding or the day after. Also use specific wording to make the announcement clear.
Wording suggestions for your announcement:
Mr. and Mr. Joseph Smith
have the honour of announcing
the marriage of their daughter
Anne Jacqueline
to
Mr. David Robert Jones
on Saturday, the fifteenth of August
Two thousand and ten
St. Patrick's Cathedral

Save the Date
What is it for?
Used to informally invite your guests to your wedding much further in advance than the invitation. This prevents guests from making vacation plans or other plans on your wedding date.
What does it include?
Names of bride and groom, wedding date, the wedding ceremony city and state, an “invitation to follow” statement to prevent confusion in elderly guests, and your wedding website if applicable. An Accommodations Card is frequently sent in conjunction with the Save the Date Card. View our wedding save the date wording suggestions.
Who needs it?
Anyone getting married on a holiday weekend, anyone with family/friends that must travel long distances to the wedding, anyone planning a destination wedding, and anyone getting married during a tourist season in a touristy location where hotels/flights might be booked far in advance.
When to send it?
Typically 4 to 6 months before your wedding date. May be sent up to 12 months in advance especially if planning a destination wedding to a location like Hawaii or Aruba.
